Casa Flor de Cactus overlooks the village of La Manzanilla and has stunning views of Tenacatita Bay. Perched on a hillside surrounded by trees and a towering cactus, it offers both privacy and accessibility. It is only one third of a mile to the beach. The private driveway is paved to an off street parking spot and stairs up to the house. The driveway continues unpaved beyond the off street parking spot to bring you behind the house. Please note that the driveway is steep. Although it an easy walk down hill to the beach the driveway is steep and is only suitable for sturdy walkers. A car is recommended.

The house has three levels of garden and three levels of patio sitting areas. The main floor has a bedroom with king bed that can be two twin beds. The main bathroom is spacious and finished with beautiful Mexican tile. There is a well appointed kitchen with a gas stove and oven, refrigerator, and breakfast bar. There are dishes for eight and everything you need to be gourmet cook. The living room is furnished with a leather couch and a leather recliner. There is additional seating, lots of books, games and a CD player. Large doors open out onto a patio furnished with a tile dining set and chairs for relaxing in the spectacular view.

The second floor is a fantastic room. Rustic but elegant, it has a cathedral ceiling roofed in palms leaves. This is the traditional palapa that is partially open on three sides. Nestled in the treetops, it has a panoramic view . It is very spacious and airy and is furnished with a hammock, comfortable chairs and lounge chairs. It sleeps up to four additional people with a king bed that can be two twins and two additional twin beds. There is a half bath upstairs as well as a second shower outside.

Below the main floor patio is a garden and patio furnished with a table and chairs. Something is always in bloom and you can listen to the surf and watch the waves break on the beach as it curves to the north toward Boca de Iguana.

Below the garden patio are fruit trees. Behind the house are more fruit trees, a collection of various palms and an area to hang clothes. There is a washing machine in the second floor bathroom. All the rooms have ceiling fans. All the beds have bed side lamps. The bed upstairs have mosquito netting.
