LA MANZANILLA - RESTAURANTS

The beach is lined with many casual, mostly daytime, restaurants that are all good and have very similar menus. You can stroll up to one, grab a table, order some food and/or drinks and use it as your "spot" for your day at the beach. You will also find in town many fine foreign and Mexican owned restaurants offering a huge variety of cuisines:
CafÈ Risa Located at the South-west corner of the main plaza (jardin). Great breakfast with fresh bakeries. Open from 7:30 am to 3:00 p.m. Closed during low season.
Restaurante y Pasteleria Mayahuel On the main road entering La Manzanilla near the Middle School. Variety of Mexican and other dishes.

Jolanda's Restaurant Asian and European cuisine. Located by the main road on the beach. Jolanda and her husband are from Holland and specialize in European/Asian dishes that are excellent. New!: The bar will be open until 1 a.m. every night. Every Monday live music with Francisco Leon playing Salsa and Mexican music. Every second Friday live music with The Redneck Mothers, starting Friday 14th January. Starts at 7:00 pm.
Bookings of Kayak and Snorkel Tours from La Manzanilla, Tenacatita and Chamela. For rent: Snorkel gear, Boogie boards, Kayaks, Dvd movies (chose out of 700 dvd's) and Wi-fi.

Cafe De Flores Delicious food and great variety. On the main street walking from the triangle toward the Jardin.
Open Monday through Thursday, Lunch: 12 - 2 pm, Dinner 6 to 9:30pm
Sundays: first Sunday of every month Art Opening from 5 to 7 pm and Comfort Food Blue Plate Specials.

Figaro's Beach front restaurant which features Italian and Mediterranean kitchen. Open Tuesday through Sunday. Garden breackfast from 9 to 11 am, Lunch from 1 to 4pm and Diner from 6 to 10pm. Stylish with great ambiance. On the main street across the Posada El Casador.
Pizza available from 6 pm to 10.00 pm.

Quetzal Restaurant on the main street in center of town next to Taco's Mr. Chop-Chop. French/Mexican cuisine. It's known for it's crepes and chiles rellenos (stuffed chillies). Reservations at: 351 52 76.
Palapa Joe's On the east side of main street about a block north of town center. Nice airy street level setting. Serving pizza, hamburgers, fresh seafood and casual mexican selections. Open Tuesday - Saturday 12 PM - 10 PM. Ask for their Open-mic-nights. Reservations at: 351 53 48.
Lora Loka's Right in the center of town where the "pasillo" connects the main street to the beach. Great spot for Mexican breakfasts and watching the sunset. In the evening she offers one or two special dishes that usually change daily. Reservations at: 351 53 33.
Gourmet Los Titos At the "triangle" where the main road divides in two. Chinese food, pizzas, salads, hamburgers and sandwiches.

Kennys Evolution A very colorfull restaurant at one side of the jardin, in front of the delegation, in the center of town. Their specialties are great hamburgers, its a must-try! (Burgers according to Lupita's secret receipe!). They also have breakfasts, traditional mexican dishes such as Pozole, gourmet specialties like Chef Miguel's Paella, great coffee and a Gourmet Candle-Light dinner starting at 6:30pm. Artis Gallery/Lounge Bar are offering Sushi-evenings and other menus by event.
Restaurant Guacamole Now moved to the beach, right across the triangle that divides the two main roads. They offer breakfast, natural oven Pizza, seafood and other great Mexican dishes.
Restaurant Cato's One of the most popular restaurants from Tenacatita now in La Manzanilla, on the beach in front of The Ejido, next to Restaurant Guacamole. Enjoy great seafood dishes on a quieter corner of the beach.
Martin's Just past the bridge South of the main plaza. Upstairs dining with nice view of the Tenacatita Bay. Open for breakfast (good omelets) and for dinner (great steaks and other upscale menu items). Open every day except Tuesday. They also sell coffee beans from a coop in the mountains. Reservations at 351 5106.
Tacos Mr. Chop-Chop Right on the main street (can't be missed when open) and next to Quetzal is the local thriving taco stand. Excellent tacos on handmade tortillas and great salsas. Open most evenings around 7 PM. Not to be missed!
Mi Casita Walking from the beach side of the triangle toward the main plaza. A variety of Mexican lunches.
There are also a number of Mexican dinner eateries (cenadurias) and street vendors that pop up at irregular intervals throughout town, especially around the Jardin. Give them a try!
